SABINNA season s007 focuses on the perception of the environment and the individual perspective.
The collection is primarily inspired by the Venezuelan artist Jesus Rafael Soto and the ’moiré’ pattern created by his optical illusions. Precise geometries, a strong colour palette and the delineation of two-dimensional space that Soto is well known for were the influence behind the textiles and prints. Soto was not interested in mechanical movement but in human and eye movements. SABINNA translated this inspiration into broken up stripe patterns, pleats, ties and two-layered organza-cotton mixes that make you look twice and question your perspective.
Over the last few seasons we have worked on some exciting FashTech projects, including our award winning AR shopping experience in collaboration with the Fashion Innovation Agency and Pictofit. In February we launched our #SeeNowBuyNow digital showcase, leaving fashion shows behind for the time being. The new collection, instead of being shown on a catwalk or at a presentation worn by social media partners from all around the world, all with different audiences and all with a different style. For 14 days of fashion month, each influencer unveiled one look which was then available to buy instantly at SABINNA.com.
The digital showcase continues this season, with each influencer revealing items from the new collection, again available to buy instantly with a simple swipe up on their instagram stories: #SwipeNowBuyNow
We think this is the future of the fashion showcase, especially for emerging brands who want to reach out to a wide international audience with direct feedback.
