PODCAST e001 Brooke Roberts-Islam: From radiographer to founder – a career change after a decade

Brooke Roberts-Islam is the Director of the Brooke Roberts Innovation Agency (BRIA) who create smart and sustainable materials utilising textile design, biology, chemistry and 3D digital design for the fashion industry. She is also the Founder of Techstyler, a publishing platform uncovering the newest innovations in sustainability and fashion-tech through journalism and events.
Brooke has a background in digital knitwear design and over a decade of experience as a diagnostic radiographer within the NHS. She is regularly invited to speak about the latest in sustainability and fashion tech innovations at conferences and industry events, including the Wired Next Generation conference and the launch of London Technology Week in 2016.
In addition to her design and material development work, Brooke is the sustainability and fashion tech editor of Chaos 69 Magazine, as well as being a contributor for Forbes. Brooke works as a consultant on strategy and innovation for brands, non-profits and agencies in the UK, Europe and Asia.
